Accommodation > New developments

Our new development in Durham was completed on target and now provides four supported living flats for people with disabilities.

South Lakeland

We have recognised there is a shortage of accommodation for people with disabilities who require very specialist accommodation and support.

We continue to work in partnership with Cumbria County Council and South Lakeland District Council to provide homes in the South Lakeland area to meet this need.

Shared Ownership
We have now successfully completed our first shared ownership project which was a two bedroom house in Kendal.

Our next shared ownership project in Kendal is the renovation of an existing building into 5 self contained flats. This development now has planning permission and building work is currently underway. For more information please download a copy of our flyer or the shared ownership information booklet.

We are also working with a number of individuals and groups who are looking to purchase their own property using shared ownership in Kendal and Hexham. We have been working with specialist mortgage advisors My Safe Home to secure mortgages for people with disabilities.

Development of new properties and renovation work is often through private finance or partnership arrangements. We will endeavour to keep you updated, on this website, on the latest developments and initiatives the Association is working towards.
