Fairoak Housing Association manages a programme of repairs and maintenance on all of our properties to ensure that they meet Decent Homes Standards and are suitable for the needs of our tenants.

Our Repairs and Maintenance programme is delivered by professional, suitably qualified, local companies, all of whom are checked by Fairoak and sensitive to the needs of our tenants.

All contractors are fully accredited with appropriate certification and insurance.

Our repairs and cyclical maintenance programmes include minor repairs, redecoration programmes, ground maintenance and adaptations to meet the needs of our tenants.

Statutory safety checks and inspections are carried out on all properties including emergency lighting, gas and electricity safety checks, drainage, heating systems, roof maintenance, fire precautions and security measures. All properties are subject to regular quarterly management inspections.

All our properties are equipped with fire alarms and smoke detectors that are checked weekly and serviced biannually. Any issues are followed up to ensure that our properties are safe.

Some of our properties have a controlled door entry system that prevents people entering the building without authorisation and CCTV. For details of our CCTV policy, please contact us.

Fairoak Housing Association provides a 24 hour emergency repairs service to provide additional reassurance to our tenants. This service is answered by Fairoak staff who are known to our tenants and support staff.
